Want to grow your following on TikTok? Looking for tips to get more views and followers?
In this article, you'll discover how to accelerate your TikTok account growth.
To learn how to grow your TikTok account, read the article below for an easy-to-follow walkthrough or watch this video:
#1: Post 4-8 Times Per Day on TikTok
You want to post four to eight times a day on TikTok. Posting that frequently gives you a huge opportunity to reach many different types of audiences, which will help you grow your account more quickly.
Make sure there's some variety in the TikTok content you post each day. Sometimes you might teach your audience how to do something related to your niche. Other times you might just be funny. If you're a good dancer, you could dance. It's up to you what fits best with your personality, audience, and goals.
While all of your daily videos could end up being very different, they should all do the same thing: Bring people back to you.
#2: Always Use New TikTok Features
Anytime TikTok comes out with a brand-new feature, use it. (That goes for any social media platform.) When you use new features, TikTok will push your content out even more, which will help you reach more people.
#3: Participate in TikTok Trends
Participate in any trends you see on the For You page. You'll know something's trending if you keep seeing the same content over and over as you scroll through the videos on the For You page. The reason it's trending is that everybody's doing it—so why not join in? You have an opportunity to jump on the trend and put your own spin on it to match your particular niche.
Pro Tip: When you put your own spin on it, change the ending. To go viral on TikTok, you have to give people a reason to keep watching your videos over and over. Putting your own stamp on the ending to a trend is one way to do that.
#4: Kickstart Your Own Trend on TikTok
You can also try starting your own trends on TikTok such as your own dance, audio, or whatever suits you. The hope is that people will pick up your trend and copy it. If you're lucky enough to have big creators pick it up, they'll start tagging you, which could lead to millions of people doing the trend and tagging you. Then next thing you know, you're TikTok-famous.
#5: Go Live Daily on TikTok
TikTok Live is available to accounts with at least 1,000 followers. If you have access, go live daily. Live streaming gives you an opportunity to truly connect with your TikTok community. You can have a back-and-forth conversation with viewers, which is something you can't do with your regular videos.

Pro Tip: Go live while you're working. People love to get behind-the-scenes looks at what you do when you're not creating TikTok videos. It's also a great way to build anticipation for something you're working on. If you're planning a podcast, tell them what you've lined out for the next episode. Interested viewers will then follow you to that platform, and the next thing you know, you've built your other following.
#6: Create a Video Series on TikTok
Create a series of videos on TikTok that tie in with your expertise and appeal to your audience.
If you're a professional organizer, your first 15-second video might show people how to organize their homes. By introducing it as part 1 of a series, people will have a reason to come back the next day to see the second video. And if someone happens to come across the third video first, they'll have a reason to go back to watch parts 1 and 2. Now they're binge-watching and you end up with a new follower.
Pro Tip: In each video, make sure you actually tell people that it's the first, second, third, and so on in a series so they know to come back the next day to watch the next part.
#7: Create Stitchable Content
Create content on TikTok that lends itself to being stitched. What does that mean? You create a piece of content and then a creator takes a bite-sized piece of it and adds their content to the end.
For example, in one of my TikTok videos, I ask viewers, “Tell me you're a small business owner without telling me you're a small business owner.” Someone will then take the first part of my video, cut it, and add their content to it. Their new video will then appear on their TikTok page.
Their followers will not only see your content in the video but they'll also see your name, which is clickable. If those viewers end up visiting your page, you could gain a lot of new followers from one small stitched video.
#8: Use the Right TikTok Hashtags
Selecting the right TikTok hashtags for your particular video and target audience is very important. Make sure the hashtags you choose have between 300,000 and 1 million views because if you use hashtags that have billions of views on them, your content will get lost.
#9: Duet Viral Videos
Do a duet to a TikTok video that's already viral. People love to see reactions to viral videos. I've done it many times and gained new followers that way.
#10: Repurpose TikTok Content on Facebook and Instagram
Repurpose your TikTok content on other platforms like Facebook and Instagram Reels. When people see and enjoy your videos outside of TikTok, they'll have a reason to seek you out on TikTok. You'll get more views and possibly more followers.
#11: Get a Second Person on Your TikTok Video
Including a second person in your TikTok video can add an element of intrigue, particularly if that person just stands there for most of the video. People will keep watching in anticipation of what they'll do. If their interest is piqued, they'll watch all the way to the end to find out.
Conclusion
TikTok is an amazing way to grow your following online. While it may be easier to use than other platforms, it still requires strategy. These 11 tips will help you get more views on your videos and accelerate your account growth.
