Pinterest Launches Free Web Analytics:  Pinterest Web Analytics “give site owners insights into how people are interacting with pins that originate from their websites.”

"If you have a verified website, you'll get information about how many people have pinned from your site, how many people have seen these pins and how many people visited your site from Pinterest."

Facebook Updates Timeline: This new Timeline update provides “better ways for apps to appear on Timeline, improved controls for users and streamlined tools for setting up Open Graph.”

The latest Timeline update is gradually rolling out with these new features.

Google Closes Google Reader on July 1: If you currently use Google Reader, check out these other RSS subscription services. “Users and developers interested in RSS alternatives can export their data, including their subscriptions, with Google Takeout over the course of the next four months.”

Twitter Supports Line Breaks in Tweets: and the official Twitter app now allow you to spread out your message across with different lines of text, within the 140-character limit.

Twitter Revamps Ad Center: This update “improves campaign reporting, provides more visibility into campaign performance, analytics and spend and also makes it easier to manage campaigns in real time.”

The Mention app allows you to monitor and be updated in real time about any mentions over the web and social web.

    This week has been really hectic. I mean the introduction of the new FB News Feed, Pinterest analytics, Google Reader shut down announcement, a lot of things happened. But I, personally, am really looking forward to the Pinterest analytics. It will surely be very interesting to see the real statistics from this site. What I’ve been doing so far was tracking the progress from Pinterest via traffic source in Google Analytics. I’m really looking forward trying this tool.
