Our event offerings
Depending on the date you are reading this page, we have five Social Media Marketing World products that are eligible for our affiliate program.
All-Access Ticket: This ticket provides you all the benefits of Social Media Marketing World, including access to ALL of our content (keynotes, sessions, and workshops). You also receive session recordings, networking parties, and food.
Marketer Ticket: This more economical investment provides access to keynotes and all sessions during the main conference. It does NOT include workshops, session recordings, networking parties, or food.
Creator Ticket: This ticket is for bloggers, video creators, or podcasters who only want content for creators. It provides access to our keynotes and creator content tracks (blogging, YouTube, live video, and podcasting).
Community Ticket: This ticket is our most economical option for people who want to participate in networking and don’t need to attend professional development sessions. It provides access to our 90,000 square foot Networking Plaza (where you’ll connect with marketers and creators) and our four main keynote presentations.
Virtual Ticket: This ticket provides online access to recordings of every session from Social Media Marketing World–all the marketing sessions, the keynotes, the creator sessions, and every workshop. It’s a great choice for people who can’t travel to the conference in San Diego.

How our affiliate program works
When someone clicks on your affiliate link, a cookie is placed in their web browser that lasts for 180 days. Tracking is based on last action attribution.
Commission amounts: We pay $100 for each customer that is tracked to you and that has not been refunded (regardless of ticketing type). In some cases, customers make two payments. When that happens, $50 is credited to your account as each payment comes in, totaling $100 after the second payment has been received.
Speakers at Social Media Marketing World who are also affiliates will earn a different commission. Speak with your handler for more information.
Important terms and conditions:
#1: Payouts: Payouts happen within 30 days after the completion of the Social Media Marketing World event.
#2: Refunds: Commissions earned for customers who later cancel their tickets and receive refunds will be deducted from the final commission payout.
#3: Self purchases: If you purchase your own ticket using your own affiliate link, you will NOT earn a commission for that sale. Also, you will not earn commissions for sales to other employees from your company, members of your household, and so on.
#4: Foul play: If we determine that you are using your affiliate code to purchase tickets in a dishonest fashion, your affiliate commissions will be voided and you may be removed from the program.
#5: FTC compliance: The FTC’s Endorsement Guides state that “if there is a ‘material connection’ between an endorser (that’s you) and the marketer (Social Media Examiner) of a product (Social Media Marketing World) – that connection should be clearly and conspicuously disclosed.” Here is an article we wrote on this issue.

If you need to login to check your sales or grab your affiliate URL, the below link is for you:
IMPORTANT: While you may be able to get your tracking URL, sales will only track once the affiliate program is open. You can determine those dates using the below link.
Here’s how to grab your tracking URL:
Step 1: Login using the “Affiliate portal login” button above.
Step 2: Once logged in, simply click on “Links & Tools” in the navigation bar at the top.
Step 3: Select the first or second item from the “Choose a Program” drop down menu and click the “Display Links” button.
IMPORTANT NOTE: There are two different tracking URLs to select from (1) a URL that tracks any physical ticketing option (All-Access, Creator, or Community) and (2) a URL that tracks the Virtual Ticket.
The first item on the list should reference physical tickets to Social Media Marketing World and the second item should reference the Virtual Ticket. The names should look like this: 1-Physical-SocialMediaMarketingWorld20XX or 2-VirtualTicket-SocialMediaMarketingWorld20XX.
Step 4: Start scrolling and look for “Media Type: Standard Affiliate Link” It will contain “socialmediaexaminer.com/cmd.php?Clk.”
Copy the link as this is the main link you will want to use in your promotions. It will send people to the home page of our conference site.
Step 5: This is optional. If you want to send people to a special page, like the “Creator Ticket” page, scroll down to the “Media Type: TextLink” section. You will need to copy the URL from the code shown. (Just copy the portion inside the quotation marks.) We have a number of different pages you can select from.
