More info...
• By far, the most exciting news here for me–sharing options on Facebook expanded w/share button. Great news for those of us who use groups regularly.

  • Michael Baggelin

The Facebook ‘recommend button’ have many features for developers that are really interesting… for social media and networking

  • I’m already back on Delicious and bookmarking like crazy!

It turns out I’m doing a bunch of research on content strategy (which is far more involved than I anticipated), and, apparently, all the Big Names in content strategy either use Delicious, or their audiences use Delicious.

Because I don’t need to wade through spam on Google for this topic. Everything I need so far I’ve found by searching on Delicious. That’s almost worth paying for!

  • Valuable as always Cindy. Thanks and have a very pleasant weekend. ~ Juan

  • thanks for the new updates on social media. Interested to see more about these so-called facebook deals.

  • Thanks, great article 🙂

  • Saturday edition is becoming my favorite thing on SME (no offense 🙂 Always filled with quick, useful bits of whats up. Thnx Cindy 🙂

  • Gotta say that the is a little bogus. requiring folks to retweet to get instruction set on using template.

Facebook Deals…Foursquare might not be able to stand the heat.

  • Hi, Cindy can you look at my site and let me know what you think?

  • I added the Facebook send button to my WP Blog, I found a plugin. Created my Klout profile. I knew about Delicious as I got an email from them asking for confirmation for moving my bookmarks. I downloaded PressJack and will install it. And I really love WP4FB ! As you can see your post has been useful for me. Thanks Cindy

  • Thanks as always Cindy, straight onto StumbleUpon!

Do you think Klout’s upped it’s game because of PeerIndex? I would also be interested to hear your thoughts on the sudden interest in Empire Avenue, it’s being labelled as a fun way to gain Social Capital??

Plus, don’t you love the new Mashable Social Media connectivity idea?

So much happening, you must be super busy!!??

    Have a great long weekend!

    All the best, Peter

  • Thanks for sharing Chris! This is useful!

  • It is interesting, isn’t it Michael. I’m sure we’re going to see more new stuff in the future.

  • Dave, I do think Delicious was the main bookmarking for a while. Let’s hope the bumpy road over the last months doesn’t change this.

  • Thank you Juan! Have a lovely weekend your end too!

  • You’re welcome!

  • That’s great to hear Dino!

  • Thanks for the feedback!

  • Mike, it’s going to be fun watching how this whole area evolves.

  • Wow Gilles! It sounds like you’ve been busy! What you think of the new send button?

  • Hi Peter, Yes I love the Mashable connectivity now!

I don’t know what to think of Empire Avenue yet. It reminds me of a game a friend used to play on Facebook a while back (something about buying people). I’m on EA to see what it’s about. But it’s easy to “game” the system, so right now I’m still struggling to see why I’d want to spend time on there… other than to play a game.

  • The new Facebook send button is a great idea… We don’t always want to share with everyone !

The only way I can add it automatically to all my posts in my WP Blog is with a Plugin. But I checked a few plugins and didn’t really find what I want. I would like to be able to choose if I want it above or after the content and choose to place it to the left or the right. To be able to choose only pages or only posts… or both. I think the best option would be to match it together with the Facebook like Button.

  • Excellent roundup, Cindy!! What an exciting week it’s been. I installed the new Facebook Send button on my blog – there are several WordPress plugins already. I’m keeping an eye on my Deals on Facebook in San Diego – I’ve never used Groupon and am not much of a deal-hunter for stuff I wouldn’t normally buy. Lol. But it’s kinda cool and I’m liking the daily emails to keep an eye on local businesses. I also love the new Klout Perks – was amazed to get a $100 credit with Lot18 and ordered four great bottles of Pinot Noir for a few bucks tax. Sweet! I’m off to check out the other new goodies you’ve listed here!!

  • Facebook send button is a nice add especially since who knows if the suggest to friends button is coming back for non page admins. The delicious acquisition is interesting, curious what they plan on doing with it beyond its current functions.

  • Again a great tool from Facebook which will help a lot in Social media.

  • I’ve seen a lot of “Like us on Facebook” buttons and ads on the sites that I visit. Now they’re going to make a Send button? That’s going make communicating with a representative of a given business a lot easier than it is today. Oh, and the founders of Youtube have acquired delicious? I really hope that they would make the user experience a lot easier than it has been.
