Twitter Introduces Publishing and Storytelling Tools: Twitter announced a new ecosystem of publishing and storytelling tools that “easily turn unique Twitter content into great stories that attract, engage, and retain an audience.” Users now have a new way to display embedded tweets, and can access the Collections API that “turns multiple Tweets into a single story with a single Collection ID.”
Twitter Rolls Out Twitter Polls: Twitter announced that “in the coming days, everyone will be able to create polls on Twitter. And, with just a couple of taps, people can weigh in on all the topics they care about.”

YouTube Debuts Paid Subscription Experience, YouTube Red: YouTube Red is a new paid membership that allows you “to enjoy videos across all of YouTube without ads, while also letting you save videos to watch offline on your phone or tablet and play videos in the background.”
Instagram Introduces Boomerang from Instagram: Boomerang from Instagram is “a new video app that lets you turn everyday moments into something fun and unexpected.”
Facebook Rolls Out Search FYI: Facebook is “updating Facebook Search so that in addition to friends and family, you can find out what the world is saying about topics that matter to you”. This new update is available in US English on iPhone, Android and desktop.
Facebook Instant Articles Launches on iPhone: Facebook announced “that everyone who uses the Facebook for iPhone app can now read thousands of Instant Articles every day in News Feed.”

Some Interesting Studies to Note:
Q3 2015 Digital Advertising and Social Intelligence Report: Adobe's most recent digital advertising report examines revenue per visit (RPV) and referral traffic trends across social platforms, Facebook versus Google click-through rates, the adoption of streaming social apps and more. A key finding shows that Facebook ad impressions grew 10% from Q2 2015. Also, revenue per visit (RPV) increasing across all social platforms with Facebook leading ($1.24), followed by Pinterest ($0.74) and Twitter ($0.60). Reddit ($0.57) was close behind.
State of Video Report: Marketing design search engine, Crayon, analyzed how top companies with a well established web presence (excluding adult content) are approaching the online video space. This report offers insights on emerging trends, adoption rates and best practices. One interesting finding from this study is the fairly even split among all websites on the adoption of auto-play videos (49.8%) and those without (50.2%).
Mobile Ranking Factors 2015: A new research from Searchmetrics shows a strong correlation between a high number of social shares and high-ranking content and suggests that marketers should maintain a separate strategy to help boost their content rank in mobile search. The report offers insights into the strategies and tactics marketers should use to rank highly in mobile search results.
Taking Stock With Teens, Fall 2015: Piper Jaffray's semi-annual research project on teen spending in fashion, beauty and personal care, digital media, food, gaming and entertainment surveys approximately 9,400 teens with an average age of 16. According to the latest Fall 2015 survey, 33% say that Instagram is their “most important” social network, up slightly from 32% in a previous report. Interest in Twitter is down from 24% in Spring 2015 to only 20% in the Fall and being rivaled by Snapchat, which has rapidly grown from 13% to 19% within the same time frame.
U.S. Companies Using Social Networks for Marketing Purposes: According to a new eMarketer forecast, the number of companies using Instagram for social media marketing purposes is projected to nearly double next year. In 2015, 32.3% of US companies with 100 or more employees are expected to use Instagram for marketing activities. By 2016, this number will jump to 48.8%. By 2017, eMarkerter suggests that 70.7% of US marketers will prefer Instagram and edge out Twitter for the first time.
