Facebook and Instagram Test New Shopping Features: Facebook and Instagram are both testing products to improve the eCommerce experience on their respective platforms. Over the next few months, Instagram will be testing the ability for businesses to run organic shopping posts as ads within Ads Manager.

In addition, a small subset of Facebook advertisers will begin testing an experience in the coming weeks that ties native checkout together with Facebook’s ad system. This in-app checkout experience enables dynamic ads with checkout in the news feed, giving people the chance to complete their purchases without being rerouted to other websites.

Facebook Adds More Ways for Public Figures to Engage With Fans and Monetization Options for Creators: Facebook is testing a number of new Stories features to help public figures and celebrities connect with their audiences and fans. These include a new Collaborative Stories function that allows multiple public figure accounts to contribute to the same Facebook story during an event, Fan Reply stickers for Stories, and more.

Facebook is also rolling out new tools and monetization features for creators. Public figures can now add swipe-up links to their Facebook stories. This feature will give them the ability to share direct links to merch and other products they’re trying to sell to their followers.
