Google+ Introduces Application Sign-In:  “Whether you're building an app for Android, iOS or the web, users can now sign in to your app with Google, and bring along their Google+ info for an upgraded experience. It's simple, it's secure and it prohibits social spam.” This is the Google+ equivalent of Facebook Connect and Twitter authorization for signing into third-party applications.
Facebook Shares Favorite Graph Searches: As more marketers use the new Graph Search feature, Facebook shares some of the favorite searches.

Facebook Adds Free Calling to its iOS Application:Â In the stand-alone Messenger app's recent update, “users in the U.S. and Canada can phone their friends directly from the right-hand sidebar within the application.”

Foursquare Introduces Explore: “When you search for something at foursquare.com/explore on your computer, you'll notice a new Link icon at the top of the results list. Click this icon to snag a short link, or share via Twitter or Facebook.”

Instagram Hits 100 Million Users: Instagram hits this milestone almost two and a half years after its launch in October 2010.

Facebook Updates Custom Audiences Targeting Tool: The Custom Audiences tool released last September lets marketers reach current customers with relevant ads on Facebook. Now Facebook is “expanding Custom Audiences to allow businesses to work with select third parties Datalogix, Epsilon, Acxiom and BlueKai.”
