The Anchoring Tactic That Turns Engagement Into Sales

Ever wonder why your content gets engagement but doesn't translate into sales? The missing link might be that you haven't defined the one belief your audience needs to hold before they'll ever buy from you. This one-sentence framework will help:

    • Fill in this sentence for every offer you sell: “For someone to buy from me, they have to believe that [YOUR PROCESS] will get them [THE OUTCOME THEY WANT].” Your process is the method, framework, or approach behind your offer. The outcome is the specific result your buyer is after.

    • Test your statement by checking both halves. If your audience doesn't believe your process is the right approach, they won't buy, no matter how good the offer is. For example, if you sell a pre-launch program, your audience has to believe that pre-launching is the way to grow sales with less stress. If they think they can just wing a launch, your offer won't land.

    • Anchor every piece of content you create during your next campaign to this belief statement. Before you write a post, record a video, or send an email, ask yourself: “Does this move someone closer to believing my process will get them the outcome they want?” If it doesn't, it's nurture content, not pre-sell content.

Pro Tip: Don't confuse your process with your program. Your program is the container (a course, a membership, a service package). Your process is the methodology inside it. You sell the process during the consideration phase; the program sells itself once the belief is in place.

Brenna McGowan shared that when her clients anchor their content to a clear buyer's belief statement, selling becomes significantly easier because prospects arrive at the offer already convinced the approach works. The statement also doubles as a filter: any content that doesn't reinforce the belief is either nurture or noise. Write your statement now and tape it next to your screen. Before your next launch or promotion, audit your last 10 posts and emails against it. You'll likely find that the ones that drove the most inbound interest were the ones that reinforced the belief, even if you didn't realize it at the time.

    Tools Change. Your Systems Shouldn't.

Claude went down in the middle of Nicole Leffer's live demo. Instead of waiting, she opened the same file in ChatGPT — and it picked up exactly where she left off.

That's not luck. It's a portable system. This free interactive guide shows you how to build AI workflows that run on any platform, plus a checklist to make your setup transferable this week.

What Instagram's Latest Updates Actually Mean for Your Marketing

Instagram is making moves that could reshape how your audience discovers and consumes your content. From a TV app now available on most smart TVs to AI-powered creative tools and new ways to edit published posts, there is a lot to unpack. Instagram marketing strategist Elizabeth Marberry breaks down which updates deserve your attention and which ones you can safely ignore.

Why Instagram on TV Is Worth Watching (but Not Worth Panicking Over)

Instagram's TV app is now on most major smart TVs, complete with Netflix-style interest categories and a widescreen viewing option. Find out what this shift means for your content strategy and why the smartest move right now is not a complete overhaul of how you create.

A Simple Audio Trick That Can Expand Your Carousel's Reach

Instagram now lets you swap audio on published posts and carousels without losing your existing engagement. Learn why adding music to every carousel matters more than you think, and discover a quick account setting change that unlocks the platform's full music library.

How to Use AI Story Effects Without Losing Your Authenticity

More than thirty new AI-powered effects are now available in Instagram Stories, including tools that transform still images into dynamic scenes. Discover the strategic way to use them as pattern interrupts while keeping the raw, human connection that makes stories work for your brand.

What Multi-Caption Carousels Mean for Your Content Strategy

Instagram now allows you to add individual captions to each slide of a carousel. Find out when this feature adds real value to your storytelling and why filling in every new box Instagram gives you might actually work against you.

Still Rewriting Everything AI Gives You?

You know the feeling: AI writes something close, but it's not you. Not your phrasing, not your tone, not the voice your audience already trusts. So you rewrite it anyway.

Teaching AI your voice is a skill. The AI Business Society shows you exactly how to do it, from marketers who've already built it into their workflow.

    Show me what's inside.

Edits Adds Folders, AI Photo Animation and Saved Text Styles: Instagram's Edits app is expanding its creator toolkit with features designed to make content production faster and more organized. Creators can now sort projects into folders and bookmark frequently used text and caption styles directly from the canvas. In the U.S., a new AI-powered Extend feature also lets users transform a static photo into a moving video clip simply by describing the desired movement with a prompt. Creators via Threads

LinkedIn Launches Webinar Repurposing Tools: LinkedIn has rolled out an AI capability that reviews a live event recording, surfaces the moments it judges most notable, and packages them as short-form clips a host can trim before posting, while separately breaking the full recording into navigable chapters. The features are live globally, and LinkedIn positioned the release alongside internal figures showing meaningful growth in both event sharing and short-form video consumption on the platform. The practical consequence for a small marketing team is that the labor of turning a one-hour webinar into a week of clips — historically the reason most webinars are never repurposed at all — moves from an editor to a first-pass suggestion engine. Whether the AI reliably picks the moments that actually convert remains untested outside LinkedIn's own framing. LinkedIn

Meta AI Adds Analytics and Marketing Tools for Small Businesses: Meta is expanding Meta AI into a more integrated business assistant, allowing small businesses to connect Facebook and Instagram analytics, Meta Ads, and Google Workspace within the same conversation. Businesses can use the AI to analyze organic and paid performance, benchmark themselves against similar brands, identify paths to improve campaigns, and automatically turn findings into presentations, documents, and spreadsheets. Meta AI can also run recurring tasks and reports, moving the product beyond one-off advice toward ongoing business and marketing workflows. Meta

Meta Moves to Eliminate Manual Placement Exclusions: Meta is preparing to remove several placement controls from ad sets, limiting advertisers' ability to exclude individual placements, entire platforms, devices, or operating systems. The change would give Meta's delivery system greater control over where campaigns run and reduce advertisers' ability to manually restrict distribution at the ad-set level. While Meta has begun notifying advertisers about the change in Ads Manager, the article reports that an implementation date has not yet been specified. Jon Loomer

Reddit Tests Audio and Video Versions of Popular Posts: Reddit is experimenting with turning select text-based posts into playable audio and video experiences, tapping into a content format already popular on TikTok and Reels, where Reddit stories are frequently narrated or paired with video. Users in the initial test can choose to read a post normally or play an alternative version, while the original discussion and comments remain intact. The limited English-language experiment will help Reddit assess whether narrated and visual storytelling can create another scalable way for audiences to consume its content. TechCrunch

X Adds Text Overlays to Its Video Editor: X has introduced text overlays for videos, allowing creators to add written messaging directly to their content using the platform's built-in video editor. The update reduces the need for external editing tools and gives marketers and creators another native option for packaging video content before publishing. The feature is available now on iOS. YouTube Standardizes View Counts Across All Video Formats: Beginning August 24, YouTube will count a public view from the moment a video starts playing, creating a consistent measurement standard across Shorts and other video formats worldwide. Creators will likely see public view totals rise faster, providing a more uniform measure of reach that can also be communicated to advertisers and sponsors. The previous measurement will remain available as “Engaged views” in Advanced Mode, while monetization calculations and YPP eligibility requirements will remain unchanged. Google

YouTube Updates Connected-TV for Episodic Playlists: YouTube announced on August 18 a set of connected-TV changes, the most significant of which allows Partner Program creators to convert a high-quality playlist into a formal show, complete with an immersive show page and seasons that a viewer can watch episodically. Supporting changes include Show and Podcast tabs on the Watch page, improved episode navigation, a new-releases shelf for musicians, and optional four-digit account and parental locks. YouTube frames the work against more than a billion hours watched daily on television screens. For marketers producing serialized content — a recurring interview series, a customer-story format, a multi-part tutorial — the update rewards structure that was previously invisible: a well-ordered playlist now becomes discoverable packaging rather than an internal filing decision. YouTube

YouTube Centralizes Copyright and AI Likeness Claims in Studio: YouTube is updating Studio with a new “Claims” tab that brings Content ID copyright claims and AI likeness-related privacy claims into one centralized interface. The platform is also simplifying disputes over synthetic likeness by introducing four specific response categories and showing creators who submitted a claim and whose likeness was identified. While valid likeness claims can result in videos being restricted or blocked, YouTube says they will not generate strikes or otherwise affect a channel's standing. Google
