AI Keystroke Hack, Dramatically Better AI Content, and Industry News

    by Michael Stelzner / September 10, 2026

Friday is almost here! Before you unplug, here's one last round of insights and updates. Whether you read them now or save them for later, you won't want to miss these.

    In today's edition:

    • The one character you should always type in a New AI Tool

    • How to use AI to improve the quality of everything you create

    • 🗞️ Industry news from Gemini, OpenAI, and more

The One Keystroke Trick Hiding in Every AI Tool You Use

Here's a habit worth carrying into any new AI tool you try: before you do anything else, test what happens when you type an @ symbol or a / (slash) in the prompt box. Most tools tuck a whole menu of features behind one of these two characters, and there's rarely a pop-up telling you they exist.

In ChatGPT, typing @ opens a menu where you can attach files, trigger a web search, pull up Deep Research, or call in a connected plugin or skill. Typing / instead opens something closer to quick settings: you can branch your current chat into a new one, switch models mid-conversation, add the chat to a project, or jump straight to personalization.

Neither command is ChatGPT-exclusive, and the specific menu varies tool to tool. Claude, Gemini, and most modern AI assistants have their own version of this shortcut system, and it's usually one of the fastest ways to discover a feature you didn't know existed.

Next time you're in a new tool, or one you use daily, try typing @ or / before assuming you've seen everything it can do. You might find a feature that's been there the whole time.

Want to see what else ChatGPT can do that most people never discover? We covered a lot more like this in this week's session replay: Rediscover the Full Potential of ChatGPT — available instantly when you join the AI Business Society.

How to Use AI to Dramatically Improve Your Quality

As AI-generated content floods every platform and inbox, the cost to produce “good enough” work is approaching zero. That means average output no longer stands out. Austin Marchese, an AI strategist who coaches executives and helps businesses scale with AI, shares a system for using AI to elevate quality rather than just speed.

Why Doing More With AI Could Actually Hurt You

Find out why the rush to produce more content, more reports, and more output with AI is creating what Austin calls “intellectual obesity,” and how the real competitive advantage lies in a completely different direction.

The AI Clone That Replaces Your Feedback Loop

Learn how to build an AI version of your boss, your customer, or your ideal audience member so you can get instant, targeted feedback on anything you create before it ever reaches the real person.

How to Build Your Own Internal Focus Group

Discover the system that major brands have used for decades, now available to anyone with an AI tool. Find out how to assemble a virtual panel of reviewers who pressure-test your work from multiple perspectives.

The Iterative Cycle That Makes It All Work

    Still Buried in AI Busywork?

Most marketers are using AI to get tasks done faster. The ones pulling ahead are building systems that support their work — freeing them up to focus on the thinking, strategy, and decisions only they can make.

The AI Business Society gives you the training and community to get there — one practical win at a time.

Gemini Expands AI Music Creation With Lyria 3.5: Google has released Lyria 3.5 across Gemini and its developer ecosystem, bringing higher-fidelity music generation with more expressive vocals and richer arrangements. The update adds simpler genre and style selection, creative templates, and flexible track lengths, making it easier to generate everything from video backing tracks and brand jingles to personalized songs and ringtones. Google Brings Conversational Voice Features to Gmail, Docs, and Keep: Google is integrating Gemini Audio models into Workspace with three new voice-powered experiences designed to reduce typing and manual searching. Gmail Live can retrieve information from a user's inbox through conversational questions, Docs Live can organize spoken ideas into structured drafts and pull in relevant context with permission, and Keep Live can transform voice-based brain dumps into organized notes and lists. The features are rolling out to eligible Google AI subscribers, with availability for Workspace business customers planned next. Google

Google Launches Gemini 3.8 Flash and a Cybersecurity-Focused Variant: Google has introduced Gemini 3.8 Flash, positioning the model as a more capable option for coding, autonomous agents, and complex reasoning without raising the introductory price over 3.7 Flash. Alongside it, Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber brings specialized vulnerability discovery and automated patching capabilities to approved defenders through the Fairwind Program. Google

OpenAI Introduces GPT-6 Astra With Critical-Level Cyber Capabilities: OpenAI has released GPT-6 Astra, its first broadly deployed model to reach the Critical cybersecurity threshold under its Preparedness Framework. Alongside substantially stronger cyber, reasoning, and agentic capabilities, OpenAI says Astra improves jailbreak resistance, alignment, prompt-injection robustness, and safety in realistic computer environments compared with GPT-5.6 Sol. The company has also expanded monitoring and deployment safeguards, while acknowledging that Astra can be harder to monitor under adversarial conditions, highlighting a growing challenge as model capabilities advance.
