Workshops Speaker Resource Page
We’re so excited to have you present at the Social Media Marketing Workshops!
This page will help you prepare for your workshop session.
Use the guide below for information and due dates. We’ll also be sending out friendly reminders as due dates get closer.
About Our Audience
These workshops are for marketers, consultants, and agency owners who are success-driven. People will attend from all different industries.
Profile: Our customer is an experienced female B2C marketer who works for a small business and is very interested in improving her marketing knowledge with Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn (in that order).
Pain Points/Problems/Desires:
- Needs to sell more with social media (organic and paid)
- Wants to improve their reach/exposure
- Wants more engagement
- Ad results are declining
- Organic reach is declining
Your Presentation
Rough drafts are due:
- Friday, February 12th for speakers presenting March 1-4th
- Friday, February 19th for speakers presenting March 8-11th
Please send your final worksheets and draft timeline with your rough draft.
Final presentation slides are due 24 hours prior to your session.
Please make sure your presentation is original content and non-promotional (no affiliate links or opt-ins). We encourage you to use highly visual content when possible (“show rather than tell”), and prefer screenshots over live-demos, which can be unreliable. The goal is to provide leading-edge insights and highly actionable tactics and tools.
What to Include
These guidelines will help you present a great session that is consistent with our attendees’ expectations. Here are the components we’re looking for in your slides:
- Workshop Title Slide
- Intro (About me, with picture)
- Overview – What’s the big picture, the “why”, what we’re trying to accomplish, what’s the problem we’re addressing?
- What are we covering – “We’re going to do these things”
- Main content
- How the content helps address the problem mentioned in the overview slide
- Action Items
- How to get in touch (with picture)
Slide Template & Format
To create a consistent visual experience, we request you use our template for your title slide.
Slide format should have a 16:9 aspect ratio
Please make sure all text and images fit within the slide borders

Advance Preparation
Pre-conference Call
We ask all Workshop presenters to schedule a pre-conference call with Phil and Lori in January. During this call, we will go through the general overview/flow of your session and of the Workshops. This is a relaxed process and is intended to help you feel prepared for the live event, understand what to expect from us, and get your questions answered. It will last up to 30 minutes.
Technical Info
All sessions use the online platform Zoom.
If you have not yet installed the latest update, please be sure to go here.
Live Workshop Session Day
Please plan on logging in for your presentation 15 minutes before your scheduled session time.
Speed Test
Please complete a speed test on the computer you will use for your live training session. If you encounter less-than-optimal results, please contact Lori: [email protected]
