Suffice it to say, you’re not alone.
There are more than a million apps available and according to Sunil Gupta,”Users spend on average, 82% of their mobile minutes with apps and just 18% with web browsers.”
In this article, you’ll find apps to consider using to help you with your business and social activities.
Due to the enormous number of apps to choose from, I focused on apps that are convenient and provide social value.
Note: For consistency, all screenshots were taken from iTunes app store. I also looked for apps available on both iPhone and Android—and if not identical products on both platforms, another one with similar functionality would be available (see #3 for example).
Have you checked out Instagram since they released user profiles on the web?
Previously, the Instagram website only let users edit their account information (and also hosted the company’s blog).
But all that changed with the recent introduction of web profiles.
Here’s what marketers need to know.
Why Instagram Web Profiles Matter
These new profiles act as an extension of the Instagram mobile app, with users now being able to comment, follow, like and view other photos on the web.
Brands, marketers and users alike can use these web profiles to encourage engagement and interaction outside of the mobile app.
Would you like to know how your business can use the popular sharing site Instagram?
In this article, I will show you five ways to use Instagram to enhance your marketing.
In the last few years, the use of Instagram by companies has skyrocketed. With millions of users, Instagram has become the perfect opportunity for brands to get quick messages and photos to their target audiences.
When Instagram started out, it was simply a way to post pictures with your fans and did not have a lot of marketing value.
However, in the last few years Instagram has proven to be an effective platform for marketers to reach a new audience in a way the audience wants to be marketed to: with visuals and short messages.
When creating your marketing strategy, do not forget about this great—yet underutilized—platform.
Are you making the most of your community on Instagram?
Instagram helps give your business a personal touch through visuals, so it’s important to bolster your community as best you can for continued growth and interaction from your audience.
Here are three tips on how to strengthen your community management efforts on Instagram.
#1: Use Tools to Manage Your Account
Instagram’s interface, whether on mobile or web, doesn’t offer the best options for brands to effectively engage with their community. Before the launch of the web version of Instagram, many tools were developed to fill in the gaps left by the network.

#1: Unlock to Share Plugin
My favorite social marketing tool of all time is the unlock to share plugin. What is it? It’s a simple plugin that “unlocks” additional content when your web visitors share your stuff on Facebook, Twitter or Google+.

What Is Instagram?
Instagram was acquired by Facebook in April 2012, launched a redesign on iOS that includes a new “Explore” tab and is rumored to be developing a web presence (so that users can see photos online, not just on the mobile app).
Social media management platform HootSuite also recently announced the addition of Instagram to its app directory. This gives HootSuite users access to almost all of Instagram’s features, which include searching, viewing and liking content, adding comments and sharing photos to other social platforms.
Clearly, Instagram is an up-and-coming photo-focused social platform not to be ignored. So what can your brand do with it?

What Is Instagram?
Instagram is a free application for iPhone or Android that lets people take photos, apply filters to change the look of the photos and then share them. Users can share them on Instagram while also choosing to share them to Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Foursquare.
