The owner of a small business supplying and installing electronic home security equipment to the home owner and small business markets. We are also supplying VOiP telephony systems.
I have been involved with pc’s since the word go… and used it as a business tool in my own businesses ever since.
I came to the realisation that the Internet is simply too overwhelming for the average business person. I spend the last 3 years helping many of them through the noise. Those following my advise are showing excellent results; those looking for a quick fix are wasting my time and theirs.
I have spent the last 12 months attempting to write a book for small business owners to help them understanding websites and utilizing the Internet. I’ve been ‘testing’ the content of the book on a number of groups of local business owners. The results are encouraging.
Most people write a book and aim to impress their readers. I wrote my book knowing my reader knows only the phone number of his or her graphic designer at most. My biggest job was to write the material in a language that will benefit the car mechanic around the corner and vet on top of the hill alike.
I am hoping to be ready to publish towards the end of March 2012.
I have been following some of the conversations in these clubs with interst. I am by no means a social media expert, but I have noticed a high level of uncertainty from many of the club members.
I am introducing my students to the world of social media with my book; however, I believe there is a great need for one that will explain practical social media marketing to the average car mechanic and vet alike. Just a thought.
Greetings from a sunny South Africa!
