I grew up in Escondido, CA, and received my undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University where I graduated as the valedictorian of my class. I completed my doctorate of medicine at the University of California, San Diego, followed by training in general surgery and urologic residency at the University of California, Davis. I am Board certified by the American Board of Urology (ABU) and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. I began practicing urology in Arizona in 1999 and am a partner in Arizona State Urology (ASU). Dr. Nelson is nationally recognized and ranked among the nation’s and Arizona’s top physicians.
