With a rich history in the film and computer industries, working as a Director of Photography, in NABET-15 and IASTE Local 644, Jim was attracted by two visionary’s, Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. At tjhat time they were still forming their ideas that started the personal computing industry.
Since 1986, Jim has worked at the center of developing the integration of the film and video industries with that of the latest developments of the growing computer-based media. Becoming an early developer with Apple Computer, Microsoft Corp and Data Translation, Jim introduced game-changing digital media technologies including the Media-100 non-linear editing system to the New York production community. In 1982, he developed the first on-line production bidding system (LaserBid™), a series of Excel templates offering standard A.I.C.P. (Association of Commercial Producers, Inc.) commercial bidding paperwork.
