On Fairfax Avenue in Los Angeles, there is a small café that serves beer floats. You read that correctly: beer + ice cream. If you have an adventurous palate, or if you’re a creative thinker, there is no better indulgence than this surprising union of frosty, velvety ice cream and hoppy, heady stout. Admittedly, it’s not for everyone.

At heart, I’m a Chicago lass, but having lived in Boston and Nashville, I soaked up both East Coast and down-home sensibilities. In other words, I like deep-dish pizza, the Red Sox, dark humor, and distracting you with fruit tea while the Teamsters hide the bodies. Clearly, I like to have a bit of fun, but I’m also very dedicated when it comes to my work.

My career is a bit unconventional: a medley of project management, marketing communications, nonprofit development and…music!
