Louise Companion was born in Toronto, Canada. At age five her father was transferred from Toronto to Ventura County, California to accept a new position at the Procter & Gamble Plant in Oxnard. She has been in the USA ever since. She attended K-12 and college in Ventura and grew up in the residential section of Ventura called the “Bird Track.” The Bird Track consists of several residential streets named after birds.

Public Speaking used to be one of Louise’s favorite activities. At age of 20, she earned her Competent Toastmasters (CTM) Designation through Toastmasters International. She was a member of the Channel Islands Businesswomen’s Professional Network. Her business law teacher nominated her to be the student speaker at her college graduation ceremonies. She had to place extra-curricular activities on hold to raise a family. Now that her children are grown, she has once again taken the plunge to start school full-time to polish her communication skills. She is a full-time communications student with the University of Phoenix.
