In 1989, Laura Wayland-Smith Hatch started Salmon Creek Publishing (SCP), a firm that specializes in design, marketing, and publishing services for small to mid-size companies.
Under SCP, she started GravurExchange, an Internet-based resource for the gravure printing industry, which rapidly grew to service an international following and was bought by PLGA Global in the fall of 2009. In 2007, SCP started FlexoGlobal as an Internet information portal for the flexographic industry and presently reaches out to over 7,000 individuals globally.
Today, SCP has evolved into Salmon Creek Media & Marketing, which now includes social media and in-bound marketing services.
