your own video channel? (6 posts)

  • It seems that “tv shows” have moved to the internet and it is more cost effective to have your own online channel (instead of trying to produce a tv series). Do you have one? Where is it hosted? How did you set it up?

  • @deairby

We post our videos to our YouTube channel.

However, I’ve seen other people who post content to Vimeo even though it’s paid, and create some cool looking player frames as well.

  • Same here!!!

We have created a YouTube channel where we present our clients.

Vimeo works well for professional photographers and people around that industry too.

  • @deairby I also have a YouTube channel.  If video works for your business, then go for it.  It is another free service (going back to your other post!)

I have a client who uses Vimeo only.  The only disadvantage there is that we are in the process of optimizing their LinkedIn Company profile and LinkedIn will only allow uploads of YouTube videos.  So I am in the process of converting videos.

  • A colleague has been using Justin TV for a couple of years now. He live-streams his programs and then they’re archived on the site. I know Mari Smith has used Vpype on Facebook. It’s not really TV but you can create, record and archive presentations with it.

We create custom channels on YouTube for our clients. It’s the platform they’re familiar with and it’s great for SEO.

  • @marlenegavens @lisaschulteis @eleniparaskevopoulou @rich-brooks such helpful information, thanks allDig and Delve in 2012!
