Your Business Plan for 2012 (2 posts)

  • Is your business/marketing plan for 2012 complete, or are you still working on it?

Mike mentioned in an earlier post that he uses the down-time between holidays to finalize next year’s plan. How do you do it? Have you discovered any good tools that help you organize your thoughts when it comes to planning an integrated strategy for the coming year?

  • Hi April,

Adding a cultural component to my business plan that will help me with hiring and choosing clients. Attracting a certain type of client, will have it’s own section in the business plan.

I always try to download different templates from various VC’s and read a lot of articles about business plans for start-ups.  They seem to have the most up-to-date advice on business plans. Not to mention, you never know when you might need more funding if something your working on becomes very easy to scale. What I like most about them is the focus they put on picking the right team and establishing your company’s culture. HubSpot seems to have it together in this area.

    Good luck in 2012!
