Wordpress Shopping Cart Suggestions (8 posts)

  • I am building a website in Wordpress that is B2B e-commerce.  The company only is going to sell to people who have completed their product training.  So what I need the cart to do is give me the power to assign customer logins.  I also need the customer to have pay by invoice as an option.  Does anyone have a good plugin suggestion?

Have you looked at some of the member based tools, such as wishlist, magic members, yourmembers, etc?

  • @rich-brooks I have not.  This is my first site that needs a cart so it’s somewhat of a new game to me.  I’ll check those out.  Thanks!

It sounds like even if those membership tools can’t do it all, you can at least use them to stop non customers from getting into a directory where you put the shopping cart.

    Good luck!

  • I use wishlist membership. Works like a champ.

Yes, I hadn’t considered using to different plugins to achieve this effect but its a good idea.

  • @smnoob If you’re looking for e-commerce I’d suggest Shopp. It’s the one we use and it came highly recommended by the tech weenies at SDWC. I don’t know if it works with wishlist … but anything is possible!

  • In my storefront, when I’m adding a new product, I have the option to mark it as “suscription” (just who is on the suscription list can buy them), or the option “special authorization required to purchase”, you have to approve the purchase.

If it’s something that can help you, I can send you the information to do it.
