The technology and farming video was interesting, but the presentation probably turns away a lot of viewers because of its text based format loaded with facts and figures, but very little visual information. I think people get bored real fast with this type of video because it lacks visual stimulation. People want to be entertained and unfortunately, a text based video isn’t very entertaining. I think most YouTube videos that get tons of views are visually engaging and don’t rely on text to deliver the information to the viewer.
What I’m telling you here is based on my education, which includes studying screenplay writing with Carl Kurlander, who is best known for St. Elmo’s Fire and Saved by the Bell. He taught me to avoid the above text based format.
Personally, I would be wary of making this type of video.
