Whoa, The excess of Riches; Such great tips; How to save it all. (4 posts)

  • I have been so inspired by all the great people on these SME networks I hardly know where to begin. I was wondering if anyone is gathering up these, “pearls of wisdom”, for posterity? Quite often the best ideas are not implemented because of time constraints or distraction. I certainly would hope that all these great tips and suggestions are somehow, somewhere being archived and catalouged. Does anyone have a favorite of what they’ve heard since joining. My best suggestion that I recieved was to partner with similar companies or creative person, (I’m into the Art world.) for FB and Myspace presentations, contests, Webinars, etc. I can’t wait to see what everybody else likes.

Perhaps once the clubs leave beta and become public we can institute some sort of tool like you’re suggesting.

The problem/challenge/opportunity with social media is that it’s ever changing, so today’s best post may be tomorrow’s “what were we thinking!” post.

  • @rich-brooks I hear you on that one, Rich. I look forward for the beta test completion. I see a great deal of good coming from this open and supportive venue. Unlike most other SM sites Examiner is much more focused and responsive. The best part is you can actually get real, helpful feedback from other members. Going forward, I’m sure that the Internet world will agree that this venue is a vibrant, productive and useful source of information.

  • @durkbarton @rich-brooks Durk, I have seen a few people mention and suggest the idea of having a “favorite” button of some sort, that we could use to save threads, or parts of threads (in case they end up being very long). I also think this would be an added-value feature to SME clubs, as it does get tough to classify all the good tips shared among the 3 clubs. And this will most surely get even more acute once the site goes public, so…

@mikestelzner Any thoughts on having such a “favorite” button or feature, just like in Twitter?
