I know there are many options out there, but what do you use? Not all of us can afford Final Cut Pro. But what about Camtasia, Cyber Director, or Vegas? Or better yet, do you know of a good free product?
@jasonwiser I still use Corel’s VideoStudio on Windows even though I use a MacBookPro for 99% of my life. I don’t have any great video editing software on my Mac; if I could afford Apple Final Cut Pro, I would buy it.
I have been using Serif Movie Plus for years and am quite happy with it. I have the latest version but you can download an older version for free (no strings). I use it on my PC.

Jason, I’ve been using Windows Movie Maker. I want to check out Camtasia (thanks, I was just trying to remember the name of that!) And Trudy, I’m also going to check out serif, thanks. @trudyd1474 @jasonwiser
Trudy, I’m having trouble trying to download the editing software. All I was able to do was get their unwanted toolbar installed! Got rid of that but can’t find the program. @trudyd1474
Did it ask for your address and phone number before downloading? Since I have a purchased copy, didn’t want to dowload but I did try the gray link (no upgrade) and got as far as asking for name and address. I actually got as far as account activation. Did you get that far? @deairby
I got the program downloaded but the toolbar also was loaded and now I can’t get to the program… @trudyd1474
I’m sorry, but I don’t know how to help you. I have the latest version that I loaded from disk. It’s actually pretty cheap….less than $100. You might want to try this link…. http://www.7soft.info/2011/05/serif-movie-plus-x5-v7.html
They have a newer version out so that may be why this version is free. This is the version I have and I think I will upgrade.Good Luck
