Which Industries is the social media serving very well? (8 posts)

  • Further to the experience that the individuals working in this field have, Who are the industries that the social media is really serving well?

PS “Serving well” is measurable through a (significant growth in sales) and has direct contribution to the bottom line (Profit)

  • locAL resturants and  retail stores   are  the  big  2  i see…..

.   i know  several  business owners     thrilled with  facebook   besides  my own ..its  working  great  for many…..businesses  who  credit  facebook   with  LEADING  TO MANY   CUSTOMER  VISITS   WHICH  ALWAYS MEANS  SALES……AND  ALSO  REPLACING   other  advertizing  that used to  cost  big $$$….

…the ones i  know   dont  seem to  use  the  contests and  giveaways   that are   touted  so  often…..  what  we have tried in that line  has   been a dud…… the customers react  more to   actually interesting things….but maybe we are different  in that   the  buyers  have to make a real  effort   to come to us,,,,they  arent usually   just  driving  by…..

both  resturants  and  cool  shopping   places  fit the  fun side of life….and thats perfect  for  facebook users..

..for   the  hard  stuff  or the  boring  stuff  i wouldnt  look to  facebook…..

  •  Socialbakers has recently posted an indepth analysis of the top vertical markets that utilize social media.

  • @eddysleiman     what  kind of places  do you   serve  that  make the most of  facebook?  how   do they do it?

  • @annfurnivall I am personally involved in everything related to creative business.

Basically providing different communication solutions especially the live and experiential one. I deal with different industries who seek a relevant creative solutions that that match their product or services. Fashion, Luxury Products (Fragrances, cosmetics, etc)

My services are not limited to conceptualizing their communication but also give creative directions for other aspects such as photography, choreography, etc

Social media usually takes part in the communication strategy and of course follow the respect of how fast we need to expose, and what sort of positioning we are aiming for and so on.

So Facebook or any other can work well with Fashion let’s say but not as well for a diamond product.

Facebook specifically would work for Artists, New Albums and Some and only some of the food outlets who have a clear communication plan and know exactly what they want from Facebook or any other portal.

    Your thoughts!Eddy

I have taken sometime to browse both the website and the blog of yours. The idea is beautiful; and what you do is even nicer and I trust that you can do way more than what you are doing at the moment if you give a bit of attention to your website.

I have seen that the blog is much more organized and this is not good…despite the fact that what you do is fun but still your website has to be as neat as your blog and this is not the case at the moment…I don;t want to go through a lot of details since this is something private to yourself and you probably prefer to discuss backstage however I am happy to proceed either way – for free of course :-)
Only if you feel like – just thought like addressing this communication advice!
