As I understand it, the new LinkedIn Profile features are being rolled out gradually. I just checked and it is not available to me yet. Most likely, when you go to your LinkedIn account and this new feature is available to you, LinkedIn will have a tutorial or video at the top of your account to walk you through the changes and how to make them.
Has anyone else, got the new Profile on their account yet?

@gregorymacke @dcoville001 Diane is right. When a feature is available to you, LI will typically tell you how to install/insert/use it. So, I guess the answer to your question is to wait until LI deems your account eligible for the new header image.

I haven’t had time to read it all through yet but maybe the eBook they provide for download will give you the dimensions.
