What Tools do you use for Metrics Management? (10 posts)

Topic tags: metrics
  • As our company grows, we are now looking at more advance metrics management like Hubspot, Exact Target, Social Rain, or Cyfe? Do you know any other tools? Do you have reviews or advice to share about Metrics Management?

  • @jasonwiser I am currently exploring and setting up meltwater buzz for one of our customers. Besides the standard features (campaigns, themecloud, trend analysis, alerts, reporting), meltwater is specifically good in the tools of the influencer and the sentiment analysis. You can set up a multi-user workflow and you even get a personalized “social advisor” (until now it is, however, just meltwater staff helping me setting up the account).
meltwater does some pretty good job in online media monitoring, the buzz platform is a new product and still needs some building, however, meltwater is working with some good crawl and analysis routines. The downside is the price. It is negotiable, but expensive.

  • @jasonwiser Depends on what metrics you’re looking to track.  Web Trends is a good overall enterprise level management platform you may want to look into.

  • @ecumenix Thanks I will look at this. And that really is the challenge with committing to any one of these. The pricetag. You cannot just try them all out and decide (though some do have free trials)

@iamconsulting will be sure to look at this also. Thanks.

  • MyMediaInfo.com now offers a tool for tracking mentions as well for about $2500/year, so I think it’s a lot less expensive than Meltwater. I find Meltwater’s sales reps to be a little too intense and too incessant in calling.

  • A cheaper solution to all the above would be Sprout Social. This provides good stats on how many new followers, tweets, replies, mentions, likes, etc etc

It also displays them in a nice graph. The more expensive options also allow you to integrate with Google Analytics.

Beyond that, I have heard good things about HubSpot analytics, however I haven’t had any first hand experience with them.

  • I love HubSpot and all the information you can get. I get picked on at work because I can see so much I’m like “big brother” (well I guess that would be sister lol). HubSpot gives you information from who is coming to your page, how your page is ranking, keyword data, competitor statistics, etc. It is very detailed, but very user friendly. If anyone is ever interested in seeing all that is offered with HubSpot, don’t hesitate to contact me and I can do a join.me and show you around. Oh, and I do not work for HubSpot or anything, I just really like the program.

  • @lizkarschner Exactly what I am looking for, someone whho is using these tools regularly. I will PM you. Thanks!

  • Hubspot, from what I have seen, is pretty awesome! I might also suggest that you subscribe to their mailing list and their RSS feed. Great articles and tons of free, and very good eBooks. Infusionsoft might also be worth looking at it you are interested in a lower cost marketing automation product, such as Hubspot, that is more designed for SMB.

    Good luck!

  • great question and input, hope you have gotten the answer you were looking for, Jason. @jasonwiser
