What is the best Social Media Monitoring tools? (4 posts)

    Hi everyone! I hope you can help me because I am working on new Social Media project for the first time and surely need some advice from the experts!

    What is the best Social Media Monitoring tool? Can you tell me one that doesn’t cost (is free) and some really good one (nothing too complex or sophisticated though) for some $. Some tools are not connected to the website some of them. I prefer of course one where I can track both the social media sites and the website all together. 
    Google Analytics would be perfect but they don’t include Twitter or Facebook. 
    Would REALLY appreciate your help asap!

    @aiste-milasiute Hi, you can actually track social media via Google Analytics (I’m still learning so I can’t provide too much help). Here is a Google page about it: http://www.google.com/analytics/features/social.html

    Non-website tracking, I like Hootsuite and on a more limited basis, Bufferapp. Some like Tweetdeck (try to find an older version). Paid versions include Netbase, Radian6 and SproutSocial. I learn about the latest tools from SME :) Not sure what will happen on Twitter locks down its API in a couple of months. Some apps / software may lose access to the data…

    Check out Klout.com also, that shows your engagement and reach in social media.
