Great question, Ken. Since I don’t know your business, it’s tough to give specifics, but in general I’d start with a blog and one of the following: Facebook or LinkedIn, depending on your audience.
Create value for your (future) customers, and possibly investors as well. Establish your expertise in the field through keyword rich blog posts and network with potential customers on FB or LI, as well as linking back to your blog post.
This is definitely the time NOT to sell, but rather to build relationships.
Also, I would definitely have an email list that I’d be trying to build up. Send people to your blog and then have a free download they can access if they give you an email.
For example, we have 10 Questions to Ask Before Setting Up a Website and The 11 Biggest Questions Small Business Bloggers Make available to anyone who joins our list.
There’s plenty more that you can do, but that’s what I’d focus on. Hope that helps!
