Video Enhancing your business (9 posts)

  • Hi,

I have just finished reading this article and found it very interesting, we have been talking about this in other forums but thought I would start a disscusion on it. . . .

Does your business use Video? or have you thought about it?

Me personally I have just brought into a Online Video business (this week) for my own company Media Creations to use and offer to my clients as well.

  • I’ve been using video for a year now.  I have 56,396 hits as of today.  I video our used equipment, edit it and put it on YouTube as well as Farm Equipment list websites.  This gives someone out of the area to check out the video before the drive 300 miles to potentially buy.

Here is one of my equipment videos:  http://youtu.be/0976JoxzY-E

Here is a video of a new piece of equipment we are selling.  We are only the second dealer in the United States dealing with this piece of equipment:  http://youtu.be/ExgB_bqWdaE

In many cases I put the video on my website, scroll to the bottom of the page and play “Tractor Calls to say it was Stolen” (produced by John Deere):  http://www.evergreen-implement.com/JDLink.html

That is how I use video.

  • @trudyd1474 thats  so inspiring   trudy!!!  i would love to take  on   a project like  yours…

  • Yes, Video make sense. Do a test on yourself, you have two website, one has a text content and other has video content..as human you will be attracted to 1st see things than to read.

We’ve been using video for a few years now, and my only frustration is that I’m not using it more consistently.

I start by creating a video that addresses our ideal customers’ biggest problems.

I upload that video to YouTube, putting our best keywords into the title, description, tags and narrative.

I embed the video in a related blog post, post it to Facebook, and promote it through Twitter, LinkedIn and G+.

I’ve found it to be successful in both driving traffic to our site, and getting subscribers to our YT channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/flytenewmedia

    What’s your process?

  • @Rich My progress is pretty good, I am new with this Video communication, however I have just sent out my first Video Email and it was received well.  I am now going to try out their fusion wall which is similar to You Tube but without all the adds and distractions.

For me I love the Video Communication and am going to keep using it as I really believe it is the way forward for me and my company.

  • Trudy, I tried to watch your videos but the links didn’t work. Love, love the tractor calling! saw that. @trudyd1474Great run down on the steps to go through…..after the filming/editing. That’s where I get stuck! Long way to go after that, huh? @rich-brooks I recently posted a video on parenting that got a small amount of traction without any work. Mostly it was a trial run and not “perfect” so I’m not promoting it.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUX-nXV8Euk  @dyanneedwards

  • @deairby hmm, I tried both the links and they worked fine.  Try youtube.com/EvergreenImplement.

  • I’ve successfully used video marketing since 2007, mainly on YouTube.  I started my small business Web marketing and consulting firm by initially successfully marketing my wife’s party planning business on the Web.  She has since become a supplier to do it yourselfers and other similar industry party centerpiece providers. A BIG, BIG part of her success is over 1,750,000 views on her YouTube channel alone.  My advice to all small businesses, whether a client or not, is find a niche, figure out what that community wants (mainly through trial and error) and once you do, provide the solution to their problems and questions.  As my wife continually does, turn your customers dreams into reality….
