1 year, 3 months ago: In the hospitality world, Valentine Day is huge: restaurants, hotels, resorts, etc. In recent years, instead of focusing on the day itself (Feb 14th), I would always try to extend it, somewhat similar to a Boxing week approach.
You can offer a promotion where it’s “bring someone you love, and that person gets 50% off”. That works well for ski resorts, for example, and the good thing is this promotion basically works for anybody, whether you are in a couple or not. Someone you love can be a brother, parent, grand-parent, friend, etc.
We actually ran a promotion like that in the past, where it was the whole month of February that was featured under the promotion, so it’s always good to look beyond the day itself, and extend the occasion, so to speak.
