1 year, 5 months ago: I participated in a G+ Hangout with author John Morgan “Brand Against the Machine” where we and 4 others just chatted about marketing, publishing and writing. It was an excellent experience and as soon as my book’s audience reaches a point where I can get 2-3 people at a time together, I plan on scheduling regular hangouts with my readers.
I see hangouts as a great tool for building relationships but also for remote teams. Currently my team uses Skype to communicate but we may try Hangouts so we can do video as well as audio.
Finally, I want to use it to record ’casts. I have a podcast “Voices of the ElePHPant” right now that I’d love to record with Hangout. Still working through the details on that but from what I understand, it posts directly to your youtube page for you. That makes it very convenient to build a solid body of youtube content.
