  • I use Vista Print and received a gift card worth $100 toward google adwords. I don’t know how to do adwords and don’t know if that is really worth something. After I get started will it cost a bunch? So, if you are using adwords, please share you expertise! Thanks.

  • @deairby, Hi Dea,
I think you should use it! (Or give me the coupon and I will use it! :) )

Google Adword is very good to use if you know how poeple find your business. While in FB you can advertise to the groups who “like” pages and based on demographic and geographical data, on Google you advertise for those who search for that specific word – so in a way it’s more direct.

If I were you I would do the following:
    1. list words you want to advertise yourself with (cooking book, or marketing management, etc.)
    2. choose where to advertise (in English speaking countries – or if you need personal contact, in your area then.)
    3. find out the whole value proposition and make a landing page,
    4. make the text of your ad

I think it’s very good because it has a real time analytics, you can do A/B testing with more variants, and you can pay per click and per ad impression.

It has no fix costs, so once you run out of money you don’t need to pay more if you don’t find it useful.

  • thanks, that’s very helpful @zsuzsaszab
