Uploading Images to Linkedin Company Page (4 posts)

  • I have tried to do this several times in a couple of different browsers.  I have checked the settings of the images that I have tried to upload but I keep getting an error. What am I doing wrong?

  • @adam-shipp
I think you’ll have to give us a little more info.
What is the error message your seeing (if any)?
    What type of image?
Is it too big, or an unsupported type, perhaps?
Do you have permission to upload to a company page? Can you make other changes to the page? Did you try a hard refresh to make sure it didn’t upload but you’re just not seeing it?

  • @adam-shipp — I’m trying to remember how I got my images to work on my company page (http://www.linkedin.com/company/getajobtips-com). Are you adding header images, logos or product images? They all have different sizes and frustrations. A couple of things to try — make sure Active X is turned off on your computer, use .png files if it will let you (rather than .jpeg), try making the maximize size slightly smaller than their maximum limitations (height and width).

This forum post gives me the idea that your problem is not isolated – http://www.linkedin.com/answers/using-linkedIn/ULI/1043589-13503109

Oh, and possibly if you’ve tried adding an image several times, the system might shut your access down and not let you try any more. If that happens, visit the LinkedIn Help Center and explain your problem. They are pretty responsive, but it might take a day or two. I had to get them to allow me to upload a new logo to my group’s page. They only give me 3 tries and then shutdown my access, but then they gave me 99 tries to get it right.

  • Thanks for responding so quickly guys.  I did reach out to Linkedin and now I am able to upload images.  The issue I am facing now is getting the photos sized correctly.  As you can imagine, changing the dimensions of a photo affects how it looks i.e. fuzzy.  I am using something called Pixlr which is what the Linkedin support team suggested.  These photos are taken from my company’s website so they all vary in shapes in sizes and few may actually work for the Linkedin page.  I have another question now though.  Can I just go to Google images and take photos from there to use on the Linkedin page?  Or does that violate some sort of copyright?
