Twitter – the wrong way to tweet (5 posts)

Topic tags: Twitter
  • Hello SME’ers! I am doing a presentation next week and I need a couple of examples of bad Twitter feeds, i.e. they tweet only about themselves, no conversations, etc. I am looking for businesses not individuals esp. in the DC Metro area.

If you don’t want to expose the businesses in this forum, please provide me their handle via personal message. I’m just showing a screen shot and walking through it – nothing mean :)

BTW, I’m not looking for Twitter missteps such as Qantas, Chrysler or Kenneth Cole (those are easy to find). Thanks muchly!

It’s not too difficult to find them, although I don’t specifically follow people in the DC area and if I do, they generally wouldn’t fall w/in the description you lay out.

Here’s what I might recommend, however: do a local twitter search w/in the DC area.

    Here’s one w/in 15 miles: https://twitter.com/i/#!/search/near%3A%22washington%2C%20dc%22%20within%3A15mi

    Good luck!

  • @rich-brooks I tried a search last night and didn’t come up with much. Thanks for the link!

  • Hi Kristy – @kc_kreative

This will be no help what-so-ever – I searched for Washington DC and all the accounts that came up (uh, the top ones) looked good to me.  However, while I was there I got stuck doing some RTs and G+s – have not done this in awhile for remote areas (not local or for my followers).  It was fun, thanks for the reminder (albeit in a ’round about way) that plenty goes on everywhere and we need to make note of that at times.

    Eileen :D

  • @supereb Glad to provide a good search reason :) No worries as I’ll check out Rich’s link and I came across another one today that may prove fruitful.
