    Hello everyone!

    I have just created my first squidoo lens with a view to helping with my rankings.
    Has anyone got any suggestions from their experience with Squidoo?

    I always liked Squidoo but have not been there in awhile.  I will head back there soon!   I know a couple of people who are Gurus with Squidoo but I certainly never reached that level of intensity.  I think it does help if you do the content right.

    @rajasbanquet I really like your lens (and I, too, wish you would deliver to the US – I love Indian food!).  I think you did a great job.  It really communicates what you do.  I think I’ll have to give Squidoo another try. :)

    Thanks for sharing. I had given up on Squidoo a while back. If you think of it, let us know if you’re seeing any direct traffic from Squidoo as time goes on.

    I remember an interview w/Seth Godin who founded Squidoo a while back and he said that the site didn’t offer much in the way of link juice any more because they refused to play by Google’s rules.

    So, I’m not sure of the backlink building from an SEO standpoint, but if you’re getting inbound traffic from it (check your Google Analytics) then it’s still worth it.

    I feel there may be better places to build those backlinks, though, like through guest blogging for example.

    Ah. I read a blog recently that google likes Squidoo as they do so much advertising on it etc?

    Any particular sites you can suggest – tumblr, yahoo questions …
