There are a series of blackouts planned for tomorrow in protest of SOPA and PIPA. What do people think?

Anyone doing anything with their site tomorrow?

@russellallert Recommendations I heard were to put a banner on your site or to use the STOP SOPA twibbon on your twitter avatar. I think the big blackouts are Wed, not Thurs. 

Several websites are already in protest mode.  Check out the blackout at Wordpress (both the .com and .org sites), for example.  It is a powerful statement.

Amazed that so few people care to comment. If I read right, this would allow action against any site that did not supply proof that they (the site) did not provide enough (undefined number) proof of protection (undefined) against piracy.

basically, I can block a site because you hurt my feelings.

Voice your concerns to your senators and congressmen.  Tomorrow the 19th is the day to flood their inboxes with our concern for this ill written, flawed legislature.

It’s a deplorable bill that will punish more innocent people than the people it is supposed to target. Several senators, including Marco Rubio and Mark Kirk, have already withdrawn their support for the bill and they won’t be the last. It offends me that Washington threatens not only our liberties but my very livelihood as an Internet marketer. It’s not a Republican or Democrat thing. It’s a common sense if you care about the Internet thing.

It’s a test of the viability of your Senator and Representative in their ability to listen to you right now. Call, email, tweet, do whatever you have to do to voice your opposition to SOPA and PIPA. 

Well folks, it’s official: SOPA bill is not going ahead! The internet movement and rallying efforts by various players worked out, it seems.

Just goes to show you what the power of social media can do!  If it can stop the outrage in Iran last summer, the Senators needs to realize the power of social media!
