Before I scoot off to bed tonight I thought I’d read up a bit and see what I missed today. Lo’ and behold, a great article turned up:13 Tools To Simplify Your Social Media Marketing

Of course, the article is here at the Social Media Examiner.  After looking it over (tweeted too, a little late so, no worm for me) I wondered if there are other tools out there that members here find invaluable.

I like writeboards and use those with some clients when their folks are spread wide and far.  We date our responses and it can be collaborative, like um, mind-mapping for a group.  http://writeboard.com/ You can keep track of who said what or if giving directions, folks can date and initial when the tasks are completed. 

Writeboards are not for social media but a tool similar to dropbox. 

Any of you folks have a favorite tool that you use with clients that is a tad off the beaten path?

@supereb, I thought that was a great article.  The tool that I think is underused is the Google Adwords Keyword tool.  That’s generally where we start with every client.  If your content doesn’t contain relevant keywords there’s little point.  Clients are frequently surprised that the keywords with highest search volume are different from their initial assumptions.
