Social Media Monitoring Software (12 posts)

  • Hello all,

I am desperately in need of a good social media monitoring software/tool. Do you have any recommendations? (funds shouldn’t be an issue). Think of a one stop dashboard where I can monitor various metrics like engagement/reach/influnece on Twitter, FB, pinterest etc.

    I’d REALLY appreciate your help.

  • We are currently developing an ALL in one software/tool. Take a look and see if it fits into what you have in mind.  http://on.fb.me/LuiMGa and even it is not I would love to hear feedback on how we can improve it.

  • If I went to the right place, Smash, looks like it is the ticket! @mikedigaetano

  • Great! What did you like best? We are still building this thing.. do you have any input to make it better?

  • Sam,

I recommend MarketMeSuite.com (free), and HootSuite.com (small fee for more than 3 accounts).

  • @sam_hosseini,

As far as I know, none of the major dashboards have yet to integrate Pinterest, though I am sure that’s in the pipeline.

In the meantime, my preferred (free) solution is Crowdbooster. I’ve also played around with HootSuite and TwentyFeet (which integrates with YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Google Analytics, MySpace, and bit.ly). Again, Crowdbooster is probably my favorite at this point.

If you can afford it, I’ve heard REALLY good things about sproutsocial. I haven’t used it myself, but it looks quite promising.

I’d say just try out each of these solutions to see which one best suits your needs.

  • @lukaspleva Thanks for the suggestions. I haven’t heard of TwentyFeet before.

  • @sam_hosseini On the higher end is Radian6 and Lithium. I heard about them through Adam Metz’s The Social Customer.

  • I’m in the same place as Sam – need to recommend to a client.  I need something that can schedule and monitor G+, Pinterest, FB, Twitter, Linkedin Groups.  Sprout and Hootsuite are good, but unable to post in LinkedIn Groups – which I need.  I don’t like Hootsuite for posting on FB because of the branded attribution – I use Post Planner instead.

  • buffer can post to linkedin, but not g+ or pinterest. I think the g+ is in the works, just not available at this point.

  • Once this program is up and running it will address all of the above mentioned items and then some. Plus it will be FREE software.

  • I also believe there’s no G+ tool at this point… @sam_hosseini
