Social media manager with Google Plus functionality? (7 posts)

  • Does anyone know if there is a social media management program out there (all I need is to be able to schedule posts in advance) that supports Google Plus?

I haven’t been able to find one except the very expensive version of HootSuite, which I can’t justify at this time for only two sites.

    Thanks!

  • @juliacasey

I haven’t heard of one. And despite hearing that hootsuite was an original G+ launch partner, I wasn’t sure that they have actually introduced that functionality.

  • I think Hootsuite’s only got Google+ in the Enterprise version so far. Buddy Media & Involver offer it, too, but I’m not sure about pricing. I think they all target enterprise-level accounts, and none of them publish their prices.  I did see a comment from a Buddy Media rep who said the cost is based on usage. I just signed up for the demos, so we’ll see.

  • Well, I heard back from Involver and that would definitely be enterprise-level as well. I just found this link from Google with all their Google+ social media management partners:
    http://www.google.com/+/business/3rdpartytools.html
Vitrue‘s site says they have solutions for everyone, including small business, so I’m waiting to hear back from them.

  • @juliacasey Google is pretty tight fisted with the API for Google+. I just spoke with HootSuite and they said they have a limited amount of Google+ “spots” that they can give out. Therefore there are no additional “spots” for HootSuite Pro users. Until Google+ loosens up their API rules we won’t see any third party posting solutions. Now you can post to G+ through your email notification of postings on G+. This should solve some issues.

  • Hootsuite now has one with its basic premium model.

  • Yes, Hootsuite has Google+ capability, but only for business pages, not personal pages, right now.
