Social Media Clients (6 posts)

  • I have been working for this realtor for the past few months doing her social media/blog/website etc. Anyways I want to get more clients. My brother and I started a company called Voice Your Web(voiceyourweb.com) and have both been pretty successful. Yet now I am ready for some more clients. I think I could do about 5 in total clients. That would be enough work on top of going to college. Are there any suggestions out there(besides LinkedIn, I have been working with that) one getting some more social media clients? I do not care where they live because mostly it is all done over the computer or over the phone.

I’ve found that blogging on your topic of interest, with a focus on your ideal customer’s biggest problems is a great way of establishing your expertise and generating leads.

Also, consider doing free presentations on social media to your local chamber of commerce, SCORE chapter, etc.

You may also want to advertise/market OUTSIDE of social media, so you can find people who don’t know where to start.

    Good luck!

  • I agree advertising your service outside of social media can work. Have you tried craigslist?

  • I am working on that as we speak. Or type…..

  • Would you suggest at all joint ventures?

  • I got started as social media consultant last year and every client I’ve gotten has been through word of mouth spreading from my first one. I have a blog, Twitter, etc. to promote myself but nothing is stronger than those personal networks.

I also recommend Fiverr.com. It’s all about gigs for $5 and I have one that is :I’ll teach you how to manage your social media for $5.” I set up HootSuite accounts, write out FB best practices, etc. and every once in a while someone will ask me to do more off of Fiverr. Even when they don’t, the $5s add up for my free time.
