SME Club Mobile App – A serious need for the busy members! (12 posts)

  • Don’t know if other members are too feeling like me, but i am really feeling that mobile app of our SME Club can really prove to be a real handy tool for our busy members, however there may be many big challenges and constraints which might be keeping SME developers away from developing such mobile app. I am sure club founders and leaders must have thought of it earlier but have not developed due to those constraints or limitations, but now that we have 5000+ members and many active, useful tips providing and problem solving members are getting much busier day by day, i feel a mobile version of our club can make it a big deal, at least an app which can have following features: 

    • notify users of mentions, 
    • new replies and 
    • friendship requests 
    • personal messages
    • @tag/mention suggestion on click in a reply box (something like we use to mention friend in fb comment box, when we press @ and initial of friend name, list opens up)
    Finally, we can at least have mobile site if not a separate app :) Let me know if you are agree to my opinion.Thanks,

    A mobile app would be sweet, no doubt.

    Much of this you can get through your email (assuming you can get it on your phone) and then log back into the site, but I agree it’s not the same as an app.

    I’m not sure if 5K is the tipping point, but I’m sure @mike-stelzner has considered it. :)

  • @rich-brooks It’s not super easy to login from one’s phone. I haven’t tried from my tablet however (10″ screen). Even a mobile site would be great for now.

  • @moinshaikh, I would be in, too! Am very often catching up on public transport and it’s not convenient (actually so far it was never possible at all for me) to respond to forum discussions via my mobile.

  • I am sure it will be out soon.But I would recommend working on some flexibility in the main portal first.
