sellfy? tried it? (6 posts)

  • I just discovered an app, sellfy, that is an online store for digital products. It seems to be new and a part of google drive. Just wondering if anyone has tried it. Does 5% seem steep for the cost per purchase? There is no sign up fee or contract with it (that I can find.).thanks,Dea

  • Haven’t heard of of it will check it out and see if it could be useful for my work.    5% of $50 is only $2.50 so that is r easonable to gain a new sale in my opinion

  • @deairby Hi Dea

Thanks for posting that. Looks okay but 5% does seem a little steep considering you will be charged by PayPal as well. Also, digital products are very cheap to “manufacture” so I guess you cannot complan too much.

PS How are you finding Google Drive, Dea? Have you signed up for it yet?

  • yes, signed up for it, had downloaded apps in preparation for gd being available.. @russellallert

  • There was discussion somewhere about Google Drive and the fact that Google’s Terms of Service are hazy and you might want to reconsider before jumping-in with both feet. Apparently their TOS is somewhat similar to Pinterests’ in the sense that Google will scan and probably use your content for their purposes (Pinterest does take ownership of any material that you post of their website).
    Caveat emptor.

  • thanks, Rob, I was just reading that thread @robmitchell
