Are any of you familiar with or using referralkey.com? In the past week I have had two people ask me join or link to them. If you have been using it has it been benefical in getting new business or just and another web place that takes up your time?

First time I have heard of this site, but here is a write up on Mashable.com
I am not totally convinced however (especially as it is not free), and the line “Give referrals and get cash rewards” fills me with dread.
But it might be worth signing up just to have a poke around.

I’ve been getting these off and on. I’ve been actively ignoring them since they often come from people I’m barely connected to and they’re asking if I’m taking on new clients so they can help me out?
And they all read identically?

@trudy I have an account because I was invited by a Chamber friend; however, I have never received a referral nor do I actively use it. I’ll log in over the weekend and see what’s going on. At this point, I would tentatively say that it’s a waste of time…

@trudy @russellallert @rich-brooks , i am too not that much impressed with the system and think it might be like spamming. I mean there are already lots of similar presence on the web claiming to give you genuine leads, but you know, automated system can’t works better than human connecting with potential customers.
