Does anyone here know how to change the Google+ URL? … I know it’s not Facebook related but I haven’t found the answer anywhere else.

I read from some news blog that Google now has the option of customizing your G+ profile URL and I still haven’t figured out how to do this.

From Mashable: “At first, we’re introducing custom URLs to a limited number of verified profiles and pages. But over time, we plan to offer custom URLs to many more brands and individuals,” he writes in the post.

The Google+ team began notifying users Thursday morning of the option to claim a pre-approved custom URL or apply for a different one.

You’ll be notified when you can claim your custom URL. Log into Google+ and check your profile. There will be a grey bar across the top of the screen. If it’s not there, they just haven’t gotten to you yet.

I am in like 3000 circles- oh you mean for your business page? Kind of hard, when you can’t promote it to public or a lot of your circles.. not sure why they are not allowing us to do that?

I’ve heard that you should add your personal profile to your business page about section in order for consideration to get verified on your personal account. I’m not totally sure it’s accurate but worth a shot.

In really not sure what “meaningful number of people” means, however, if you work on getting some real people adding your page to circles it won’t take a whole lot of time. By real, I mean real profiles. Send me the link and I’ll add ya. I’m pretty active in G+.
