Purchasing Corporate Mailing Lists (4 posts)

  • Thoughts on this topic? I have a client targeting corporate event planners. She wants to do a one time mailer (email or snail). I would like to use it to collect new friends to our Facebook PageWho do you recommend/use? Who to stay away from?Thank you in advance for your help. -Ellen

    PS: We are in Oregon

  • @ellenpartal Nice to meet a fellow Oregonian!

We’ve done a couple email purchases from list providers, and the return on it was not good to say the least. People were either trashing it/not reading it, or never opening it to begin with. The latter told me that we had out of date e-mail addresses (or “junk” ones people set up for these kinds of things.)

If you really want to go the way of mailer, a more effective method may be to rent a list from tradeshow hosts for events that are in your vertical. The events are targeted, and the information is guaranteed to be more current.

    Just my two cents.

  • @jennifer-sharp That’s awesome! I am more of a cherry-picker than a deep-sea fishnet marketer. Thanks for your idea. I will let you know how it goes.

  • @ellenpartal You’ll have to let me know how it goes!
