i put a picture of  one of our  creations  on my  pinterest  board   …and a popular    blog picked it up…now im  getting lots of  hits  from the  blog to my website  …she  was  nice enough to put my  website on the blog..

…but  now im  seeing  my picture on pinterest    with tons of  repins and  WITHOUT  my website..dANG……i assume   it  was picked up  from her  blog with a pin it  button…..and  my url  didnt  get picked up with it….

im  not interested in   any  copyright  issues or  claims  but i do  feel   kind of  abused…. 

@annfurnivall  This is sort of the down-side of the whole Pinterest value proposition, they take ownership of your content. 

I don’t know exactly if this’ll help but “next time” alter your picture to include your website in the actual picture. That way, as it gets copied around Pinterest or any other site/service, then at least it’ll have the original URL and or name associated with it.

THAnks,  ive seen  those watermarks and it is  sure an option…….. i do  the pinterest without  help  and i wouldnt   want to  learn  how to do it…i can  barely move pictures around…ha ha

.at  this  point  they seem  a little  too   commercial  to me….the  spirit   of pinterest is  sharing  not  selling… i am  for sure putting my url on  everything  from the store….and  so happy to see   those pictures  repinned all over my  field  of interest….  ……. 

another plus…last night  my  totally  target  customer  called  from about  1000 miles away, she  is  starting up a  big  store and loves our  furniture.. and said she   needed a  big load  of stuff and  she had  seen   us on  some  blog….i figure  it   was  the   above mentioned  blog….  

i would  have  been pretty irritated if  the  blogger hadnt   put my url on the  picture….she  didnt ask to use it,  but  did put the url on….its  been   a  good little  spurt  for us…
