There is such thing as a no-follow link, but it wouldn’t effect your traffic reports.
It’s just a webmaster’s way of saying, “I’m linking to this site but I’m not vouching for it.” This is b/c most links are offering up a vote of confidence, which is figured into the search engines’ algorithms.
Also, I’m not sure which stat program you’re using, but if you were getting loads of Pinterest referrals before and you’re not now, that does seem like something’s up.
Is your overall traffic down? If so, maybe a drop in Pinterest is to blame. If not, then maybe Pinterest is suddenly being reclassified as a different referral source.
