  • the  big  popular pages ive seen on pinterest  …ones with   4  or 5000  followers….have   lots of  boards and tons  of  pins…..i  was  thinking  maybe  i  could have too many   pins or  boards ….but maybe not….what  are  you seeing out there?

  • Lots of pages, lots of keywords gets lots of views. Also, most people follow back. Follow a lot of people and get a lot of followers. But, are a lot of random followers what you want, or do you want a smaller number of real followers that are I treated in what you pin?

  • @richardmclaughlin are  you on?    i have about  1000  followers on  most of my  boards and   maybe 8  guys…lol…

mine  didnt  start out  as part of the  business   and has  just  grown  naturally ….its all about my  favorite  things,  and the store is too so   there is  great overlap….  i do put a link to my  board on our facebook page  once in a while…the  good  thing  is our   pictures are floating all over pinterest and  getting   us lots of hits to our website…  most  from  far away  tho….

the  whole pinterest  thing is  hot hot hot  with  my  customers…its  so much  fun….

  • @annfurnivall Injust use it to post pictures of things I find on bike rides. Air plants, iguana and other odd Floridian things

  • @richardmclaughlin neat…thats  the real spirit of pinterest…imho..

..  what i love about  pinterest and  facebook   and my wifi card on  my  camera  is how much easier it  has  made  the  tekk world  for me and all the others like me  who arent   very tekkie..,  who  grew up   in a  whole different  world….even without remote  controls  or   time  shifting on tv….  our  first   mailing list to our  database   was done on the kitchen table……..

  • I don’t usually follow back. I do use it occasionally to pin a photo from my blog and that helps with traffic. I have one photo I pinned that has had over 8000 likes and many repins! @annfurnivall

  • @deairby wow  dea,  what is it ?

  • @annfurnivall

I love Pinterest.  I have a personal board and just started building out a business page and have got a lot of repins and follows/likes.  I doubt you can have too many photos, its all about optimization.
I checked out your board last week and went crazy clicking away.  (In a good way.)
One thing I noticed was it was difficult to discern which items were yours and which came from other boards.  You have to click through to the website to find out. Adding a link to your website in the photo description could help with that.

  • @iamconsulting oh im  glad  you looked.. whats  yours  under?  .most  of the pictures  arent  mine…. .. i have   put  the website on  almost  all the  actual  greenoak  product and in store     pictures…..   my  garden  and the people  pictures  i havent so much….

whats  kind of   happening in   my  world  is   the  businesses  are watermarking  their  pictures…i think its a little  too commercial  for me…but  what  happens is  when a  picture with a link on it  gets  repinned  ,  eventually the pin  falls off or is  removed….im  seeing  some of my   pictures  that  had  my  url on them   , floating around out there without my  url link…

    i really  enjoy it  too….

  • Another suggestion is to include hashtags in the description so that it will pop up when searching. Also you can see who is checking out your website by putting in http://www.pinterest.com/source/“yourwebsite”

  • @katiestucky  thx….naughty  but so  neat…i havent  jumped into the hash tag idea  yet….  really,  the words  wont show  up  without them?

  • Here’s the link:  http://pinterest.com/pin/165648092513825432/  It has had 9370 repins, 1662 likes and a lively discussion! It wasn’t even my original quote. But I liked it. @annfurnivall
