I just discovered this group and I am excited to dive right in.  I adore social media and I look forward to learning and soaking up more.

I live in Washington, DC where I am a health, fitness and wellness professional specializing in personal training, wellness coaching and small business consultancy to the fitness industry.  I also write a bi-monthly health and fitness column for a national publication.

I hope to broaden my scope of knowledge of social media and how to effectively apply what I learn to business development.  I will contribute as much as I can and hope someone is listening.

My name is Meghan and I have only been involved in social media marketing for about three months. Since I am fairly new to this field, I am wondering if I could get your advice as to how to get started. I have been looking into internships however, most of them are for students. I have a bachelor’s degree in Visual Communications however, I am mostly teaching myself social media marketing through websites such as Social Media Examinar, fbinfluence.com, as well as following popular blogs and trial and error. Hi, I am a one-woman shop with a book publishing business – print, ebook and app.  I love social media, but I just don’t know how to use it to grow my business, reach my ideal customers and sell more books.  Case in point:  I get excited every time I get a LIKE – but my numbers are still very, very low.  Looking forward to learning more about how to use FB as the primary social media tool.  Too much to do to learn all of the others:  blogs, twitter, etc.

I am Gail but most of my friends call me Monique. Currently living in Abu Dhabi and working as a Social Media Specialist for FissionLink. I’ve been blogging for about ten years now but never really tapped into the possibility of generating income from it. I then became a web content writer because of my experience in blogging until it subsequently lead me into social media marketing.

There are so many things to learn and the analytics are making me dizzy already! LOL. But glad I found a community of fellow social media enthusiasts so I can rant about work-related or non-work related stuff here.

I registered my virtual assistance business almost 2 years ago now but had some health set backs. I read a lot about social media and give advice to those I work with (need more lol) yet still find it hard to do it for myself.
