Has anyone developed a mobile app for smartphone marketplaces to drive interest and business to your company? I do not refer to a business that is focused on app building but more a business that creates an app beneficial to their target market without pushing sales as the focus. 

For example, building an app that compares ALL apartment ratings in an area that may include the company but includes all others too as a comparison.
